Odaily News: South Korean President Lee Jae-myung said on Wednesday that the industrial transformation driven by artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the global industrial landscape, and emphasized that South Korea needs to take "bold" and "swift" investment actions to respond to this change. Lee made these remarks while attending the opening ceremony of a policy briefing meeting hosted by government departments including the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

Lee stated: "With the advent of AI, the world is undergoing a major transformation, and the industrial structure is being reshaped. At such a moment, what we need are bold decisions, investment, and swift action." He emphasized the importance of enhancing South Korea's competitiveness and noted that the government's role is to identify trends, plan for the future, and lay the groundwork for innovation. He added that ensuring solid industrial growth potential and a strong energy security system are key to building a nation that can withstand changes in the external environment.
