Altcoin trading volume share rises to 60%, while Bitcoin accounts for only 22% of Binance's trading volume

Odaily News, CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated that the share of altcoin trading volume on Binance has risen to 60%, with Bitcoin at 22% and Ethereum at 18%, a shift from May when Bitcoin's trading volume share was close to 40%. Meanwhile, spot trading volume for Bitcoin on Binance and other major exchanges has dropped to relatively low levels, comparable to the end of the 2023 bear market. Darkfost noted that Bitcoin's price has shown almost no movement for weeks, with some funds rotating into altcoins—partly because altcoins had previously corrected more deeply than Bitcoin, and partly due to seeking opportunities in a low-volatility market. He stated that this strategy carries relatively high risk and may only yield returns for investors capable of strategically managing their positions.
