区块链协会致函参议院领袖，逐点反驳国家警长协会对CLARITY法案的质疑

Odaily Planet Daily reported that the Blockchain Association has sent a letter to U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Minority Leader Charles Schumer, responding to the National Sheriffs' Association's (NSA) earlier criticism of the CLARITY Act.

The Blockchain Association stated that the NSA's interpretation of the Digital Asset Market Structure and Investor Protection Act (CLARITY Act) reflects a fundamental misunderstanding, and denied that the bill would exempt decentralized finance, mixers, cross-chain bridges, software developers, and user interface-related entities from anti-money laundering and sanctions oversight.

The association said that the CLARITY Act does not weaken regulatory authorities' powers or reduce enforcement tools. It also noted that the NSA's position does not represent a consensus across the entire law enforcement community, citing support for the bill from multiple organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Police, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, the Major County Sheriffs of America, and the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association.

The Blockchain Association urged the Senate to continue advancing the CLARITY Act, stating that the bill would strengthen the regulatory framework for digital asset markets while preserving law enforcement's ability to conduct investigations and combat illegal activities. (Cointelegraph)
