Marvell to Launch Memory and Storage Solutions for AI Infrastructure
Odaily News: Data infrastructure semiconductor manufacturer Marvell Technology has announced that it will launch its memory and storage solutions for AI infrastructure from August 4 to 6. Marvell stated that as the scale of agentic AI inference expands, memory capacity, bandwidth, and data connectivity are becoming as important as computational power. Larger models, longer context windows, and growing KV Cache demands are driving unprecedented pressure on AI systems' memory resources.
The company noted that by bringing data closer to compute units and reducing latency, its AI memory and storage technologies can help customers improve hardware utilization, enhance token processing efficiency, and achieve a better balance among performance, power consumption, and cost. As AI model scale continues to grow, the traditional "compute-chip-first" architecture is gradually shifting toward "co-optimized computing, memory, and interconnect," with new infrastructure including CXL, high-speed storage, and optical interconnect poised to become key technological directions for the next phase of AI data center expansion.
