Odaily Planet Daily News: The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has announced that, through a local technology service provider, it will anchor national academic certification data to the Avalanche C-Chain, establishing a national-level electronic certification system. The system has already on-chained over 15 million historical academic records, with the earliest dating back to 1989. Nearly 1 million certificates for the 2025 KCSE candidates have been issued through the platform. In the future, the system is expected to cover approximately 35 million verifiable records, spanning multiple education levels including primary school, secondary school, higher diploma, and government teacher certification. The new system compresses verification time from weeks or months to seconds, replacing the old processes that relied on manual review and traditional databases, and guarding against certificate forgery and fraud from fake verification websites.
