Trump's approval rating has dropped to a new low since the start of his second term

Odaily News Political analyst Nate Silver stated that due to the unpopular ongoing war with Iran and surging gasoline prices, President Trump's approval rating this month has fallen to a new low since the beginning of his second term. He said: "The timing closely correlates with the recovery of gas prices and the Iran war." As the war approaches the six-month mark, data from the American Automobile Association (AAA) shows that as of Friday morning, the average price of gasoline in the U.S. was approximately $4.11 per gallon, up from about $3.15 a year earlier. According to polling averages from Decision Desk HQ, as of Friday morning, Trump's overall average approval rating stood at 40.6%, while his average disapproval rating was 57.5%. A Quinnipiac University survey showed that 60% of U.S. voters oppose the war, the highest level of opposition since the conflict began on February 28. Nearly three-quarters of Americans said they do not support sending U.S. troops to Iran. An AP-NORC poll also indicated that 64% of Americans believe the war is "not worth it."
