Odaily News: Hardware wallet manufacturer COLDCARD has issued an urgent security update stating that Mk3 devices running firmware 4.0.1 or later, whose seeds were not generated via at least 50 independent dice rolls, face a risk of insufficient entropy. The company recommends affected users immediately begin migrating their funds. COLDCARD also noted that users of Mk4 and Mk5 devices with firmware versions below 5.6.0, as well as Q-series devices with firmware below 1.5.0, should first upgrade their firmware, then generate new seeds and complete the migration. The company stated that it is actively developing firmware updates for the discontinued Mk3 devices to assist affected users with migration.
