Bitwise's Q3 staking report shows Ethereum staking volume reaching 40.2 million ETH, accounting for 33% of total supply

Odaily News: Bitwise has released its Q3 2026 staking report. Currently, 40.2 million ETH has been staked, representing 33% of the total supply. New staking activity this year has primarily come from institutions, including staking ETFs, corporate treasuries, and other large holders, who continue to increase their positions despite price declines. Staking ratios on other networks also remain high: Solana at 68%, Near at 45%, Hyperliquid at 44%, and Avalanche at 41%. Ethereum's throughput has increased by 73% year-over-year, while Avalanche transaction volume has grown fourfold year-over-year. Institutional staking is also expanding into emerging networks.
