美国参议员Schumer提议设立反腐机构,关注特朗普加密业务关联

2026-07-31 01:38

Odaily News: U.S. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has proposed the "Creation of the Anti-Corruption Bureau Act," which aims to establish a dedicated agency to investigate, enforce, and prevent corruption within the executive branch.

Under the proposal, the new agency would consist of seven bipartisan members, subject to Senate confirmation, with independent enforcement authority. It also plans to integrate related functions from the Federal Election Commission, the Office of Government Ethics, and the Office of Special Counsel.

In the bill, Schumer called out Trump by name, noting that he disclosed over $2 billion in investment income for 2025, with approximately $1.4 billion tied to crypto-related businesses. Additionally, the Trump family holds over $1 billion in crypto funds linked to foreign governments.

The White House Deputy Press Secretary responded that there are no conflicts of interest regarding Trump's investments. (Cointelegraph)
