Amazon will announce its second-quarter earnings after the US stock market closes, with AWS cloud business and capital expenditure becoming market focuses
Odaily reported that Amazon will announce its second-quarter 2026 earnings after the US stock market closes. According to LSEG data, the market expects the company's revenue to be $196.47 billion, with earnings per share of $1.82. Among this, AWS cloud business revenue is expected to reach $40.54 billion, and advertising business revenue is estimated at $19.43 billion.
The market is also closely watching Amazon's AI infrastructure investment progress. The company previously maintained its 2026 capital expenditure guidance of approximately $200 billion, but after Alphabet raised its full-year capital expenditure expectations, multiple institutions anticipate that Amazon may also increase its full-year capital expenditure target. Morgan Stanley estimates that Amazon's capital expenditure will reach $218 billion this year, and is optimistic about AWS maintaining long-term growth driven by collaborations with OpenAI, Anthropic, and others.
