Prediction market revenue reaches $156 million, Robinhood's Q2 transaction revenue up 44% year-over-year

Odaily Odaily reports that Robinhood's Q2 prediction market revenue surpassed its cryptocurrency and stock trading revenue, driving total transaction revenue up 44% year-over-year to $776 million. Specifically, event contract revenue reached $156 million, cryptocurrency trading revenue was $100 million (down 38% year-over-year), and stock trading revenue was $129 million. Robinhood's Q2 total net revenue increased 32% year-over-year to $1.31 billion, while net profit rose 48% year-over-year to $573 million. Cryptocurrency notional trading volume reached $40 billion, including $22 billion from Bitstamp. Robinhood entered the prediction market in October 2024, launched its prediction market hub in March this year, and introduced the CFTC-regulated exchange Rothera in June.
