SK Hynix Q2 operating profit 60.5 trillion won, revenue misses estimates, down over 3% after hours

According to Odaily, SK Hynix reported its second-quarter results with an operating profit of 60.5 trillion won, below the market estimate of 64 trillion won. Revenue came in at 79 trillion won, also below the expected 84 trillion won.

The company stated that the average selling price of DRAM in the second quarter rose approximately 30% quarter-over-quarter, and it expects DRAM shipments in the third quarter to increase by about 10% sequentially. It will also expand HBM4 supply in the second half of the year.

SK Hynix forecasts that DRAM market demand will grow 20%-30% year-over-year in 2026, while NAND market demand will increase 10%-20%. The company plans to raise capital expenditure to the high end of the 40 trillion won range in 2026.

Due to the revenue miss, SK Hynix's US-listed shares turned downward after hours, falling over 3%. The company also noted that it has signed long-term chip supply agreements with 10 clients and is evaluating additional shareholder return measures.
