Huang Renxun: Establishing Open Secure AI, Defenders Also Need an AI Ecosystem Composed of Both Open and Closed-Source Models

Odaily reports that NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun stated on the X platform that as attackers have begun to leverage cutting-edge AI, defenders also need a frontier AI ecosystem composed of both open and closed-source models, relying on the global developer community to enhance security capabilities. He revealed that during the previous Hugging Face security incident, closed-source AI hindered critical forensics, while open-weight frontier models helped contain the intrusion. This is the reason for creating the Open Secure AI Alliance.

Previously, NVIDIA announced the establishment of the Open Secure AI Alliance alongside multiple founding members to promote AI security and safety.
