Korean Media: SK Hynix Plans to Build New Headquarters in Gangnam, Seoul

Odaily News SK Group is pushing forward with the acquisition of the former Le Méridien Seoul site in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and plans to build the SK Hynix headquarters. Reports indicate that the site is approximately 1 kilometer from the Samsung Group headquarters, "Samsung Town." SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won is said to have requested that the new building be "5 meters taller than Samsung's."

Currently, the specific method of participation in the project has not been finalized. Options including land acquisition, equity in the project company, or the pre-purchase of office buildings are still under discussion. (Asia Economy)
