SK Hynix's Cheongju P&T7 Clean Room to Be Operational Three Months Ahead of Schedule

Odaily Odaily reports that SK Hynix is accelerating the construction of its advanced semiconductor packaging plant, P&T7, in Cheongju, advancing the operational date of its first clean room by approximately three months. According to an industry insider on July 23, SK Hynix now expects the first clean room at P&T7 to be operational as early as July 2027. The company had previously announced a target date of October 2027.

An industry insider revealed, "SK Hynix recently initiated tenders for utility and infrastructure projects at the P&T7 clean room earlier than planned. The company internally expects the clean room's operational timeline to be about one quarter ahead of the original schedule." Some equipment-related tenders failed to attract bidders and are currently being reissued. Industry insiders anticipate that all utility infrastructure tenders will be completed by around August.
