Zama launches Confidential RFQ protocol, enabling institutions to trade while concealing size, assets, and direction

2026-07-24 00:27
Odaily reported that Zama founder Rand posted on X platform, stating that Zama has launched the Confidential RFQ protocol. The private beta version is now live on the Ethereum mainnet, with a public release expected in September, and multi-chain support to follow. The protocol is based on the ERC-7984 confidential token standard and utilizes sealed-bid auctions to allow professional market makers to competitively fill encrypted transactions, hiding the transaction size, direction, and asset type throughout the process. The protocol allocates 100% of swap fees to buy back and burn ZAMA tokens, with no front-end fees. Zama noted that large on-chain transactions are currently conducted via over-the-counter (OTC) trading or dark pools, as they aim to avoid strategy exposure.
