Odaily reported that Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten stated in an interview that Tether essentially controls the publicly listed Bitcoin reserves company Twenty One Capital it supports, using it as a tool to advance political interests in the United States, though he provided no evidence to support these claims. Tether did not respond to requests for comment. Cory Klippsten also stated that Strike founder Jack Mallers’ role as CEO of Twenty One is a figurehead position, primarily responsible for promoting the company’s stock, and believes Mallers’ departure was not his own decision.
