U.S. House of Representatives passes resolution again demanding Trump end hostilities with Iran

Odaily reported that with the cross-party support of a few Republicans, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Iran War Powers Resolution for a second time, demanding that President Trump stop the war against Iran. The House's roll call vote result that day was 214 in favor and 208 against. Four Republican House members joined Democrats in voting for the resolution.

In June of this year, the House passed a similar resolution, which also received support from four Republican lawmakers. This action is largely symbolic, but it also highlights the unpopularity of the Iranian conflict and the growing concerns among a minority of Republican lawmakers—that they may face significant backlash in the midterm congressional elections just months away.
