Odaily Planet Daily News: A South Korean court will deliver the first first-instance verdict on August 27 regarding the erroneous Bitcoin transfer incident at Bithumb. The involved users are accused of selling the mistakenly received BTC and holding approximately 194 million Korean won in cash. Bithumb has previously filed unjust enrichment lawsuits against four users, with the highest claim amount in the cases reaching around 500 million Korean won. In February of this year, during the distribution of event rewards, Bithumb mistakenly credited Korean won points as Bitcoin. It subsequently initiated a recovery process, stating that as of March 10, it had recovered 99% of the 1,788 BTC that had not been returned.
