Odaily reports that the U.S. Senate passed a non-binding resolution by unanimous consent, clearly stating that FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried should not receive a presidential pardon or commutation of his sentence under any circumstances.
The resolution was spearheaded by Senators Cynthia Lummis and Ruben Gallego. SBF was convicted in November 2023 on seven charges related to the collapse of FTX and is currently not expected to be released until around 2044. U.S. President Donald Trump stated in January of this year that he had no plans to pardon SBF. (CoinDesk)
