Odaily reported that U.S. Treasury yields rose during Asian trading on Wednesday but remained below Tuesday's intraday highs. This followed a lower-than-expected U.S. June CPI reading, which pushed Treasury yields lower in late Tuesday trading. Jamie Cox, Managing Partner at Harris Financial Group, said in a report: "If you were expecting this report to show inflation spiraling out of control, that's not what happened. It's clear that the recent uptick in inflation is mainly related to rising energy prices, and this impact won’t be long-lasting." Meanwhile, the uncertainty stemming from the renewed escalation of tensions between the United States and Iran remains an important factor for the market to watch. (Jin Shi)
