Bank of America: SK Hynix’s New Capacity by 2028 May Be Only One-Sixth of Plan

Odaily Planet Daily News, Bank of America released a report stating that due to the closure of older facilities caused by technological upgrades, South Korea's average annual wafer production capacity growth will actually be below 10%, far short of the official target of doubling by 2030. SK Hynix's new memory capacity by 2028 may be only one-sixth of the original plan. Additionally, the construction and equipment setup cycles for new large-scale wafer fabs planned by Samsung and SK Hynix in Gwangju and Jeolla could extend to ten years. (Jinshi)
