Odaily Ethereum Foundation’s privacy team spins out to form for-profit company EthSystems, with support from Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin, Ethereum treasury firm Bitmine, and SharpLink. EthSystems is a for-profit company aimed at building “confidential systems on Ethereum” for institutions. Its co-founders Mo Jalil, Oskar Thorén, and Aaryamann Challani are all former EF employees who previously led EF’s Institutional Privacy working group.
The team stated: “EthSystems’ business model is simple: provide customized consulting services to solve the hardest problems in institutional Ethereum adoption. In practice, this means continuing the work we were doing before, but now charging for it.” (The Block)
