Odaily reports that a recent report from Bank of America indicates the market is overly optimistic about the expansion commitments of South Korea's memory giants. Regarding President Lee Jae-myung's goal of "doubling capacity by 2030," Bank of America estimates that after accounting for capacity losses from the closure of old fabs due to technology upgrades and the transition to more advanced processes, the actual annual expansion rate will be below 10%, falling well short of the doubling target by 2030.
