Qian Zhimin's 60,000 Bitcoin Case to Gradually Enter Evidence and Substantive Trial After October This Year
Odaily Odaily News: Qian Zhimin's 60,000 Bitcoin case held a three-day hearing from July 7 to 9, 2026. In the next phase, the case focus will gradually shift towards evidence and tracing. It is expected that after October this year, the case will progressively move into evidence and substantive trial, with the court focusing on:
1. How RMB investment funds entered Lantian Gerui and related accounts;
2. How the funds were pooled, transferred, and exchanged;
3. Which funds ultimately have a provable connection to the Bitcoin seized in the UK;
4. The losses, recoveries, and existing compensation status of each applicant;
5. The specific property relationship between individual investors, Lantian Gerui Company, and the Bitcoin involved in the case.
Analysis suggests that only after the dispute over applicable law is resolved and the judge issues a ruling in July this year, will the case gradually transition from "determining which law applies" to "assessing whether the evidence can prove rights." (Caixin)
