高市早苗: Web3的社会化应用正在不断推进，有助于日本创新生态发展

Odaily Planet Daily News On July 13th, in Tokyo, at the WebX 2026 hosted by Coinpost, Japanese Prime Minister Yōko Kamikura delivered an opening speech via video.

Yōko Kamikura stated that she would first like to express her sincere congratulations on the successful hosting of the WebX 2026 conference. Web3, as a next-generation internet ecosystem built on blockchain technology, is seeing its social implementation steadily advance, attracting participants from around the world. I have heard that this Web conference attracted approximately 15,000 participants, making it the largest Web3 event in Asia. It has seen active participation from numerous startups, alongside various matchmaking events with investors. As a platform for promoting business collaboration and connections, this holds extremely significant importance.

Prime Minister Kamikura's new cabinet places great emphasis on nurturing startups. In May of this year, we launched the "Comprehensive Startup Promotion Policy Package," aimed at strengthening the "Five-Year Startup Development Plan." Through the implementation of these initiatives, coupled with the impetus from this WebX 2026 conference, I am confident that this will further drive the growth of startups, promote innovation challenges across various fields, and thus enable Japan's innovation ecosystem to achieve further development and take-off.
