Nvidia temporarily abandons TSMC's COUPE solution, shifts to Tower Semiconductor's silicon photonics platform

Odaily reported that sources revealed Nvidia has decided to temporarily abandon the adoption of TSMC's COUPE technical solution. Nvidia's previous "Plan A" was based on TSMC's COUPE co-packaged optics platform, utilizing 8-wavelength DWDM and approximately 50 to 64G NRZ modulation technology. The latest "Plan B" shifts to Tower Semiconductor's silicon photonics platform, adopting a 16-wavelength DWDM and 200G/400G PAM4 modulation solution.
