美伊就谈判问题各执一词,专家称短期内复谈无望

2026-07-11 10:01

Odaily Planet Daily News, July 10th local time, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform "Truth Social" stating that Iran wishes to continue "negotiations" with the U.S., and the U.S. has agreed to proceed. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baghaei stated on the 10th that Iran has never proposed negotiations with the U.S., but agreed to allow mediators to visit Iran. Middle East expert Wang Jin stated that it is difficult to foresee the resumption of dialogue between the U.S. and Iran in the short term, because for both the U.S. and Iran, the conflict is still ongoing.

For both sides, the current foundation of trust is extremely fragile, making it impossible to establish a suitable atmosphere for dialogue in the short term. More importantly, both American domestic public opinion and Iranian domestic public opinion are skeptical about the current resumption of dialogue between the U.S. and Iran. This is especially true considering that during the funeral of Iran's former Supreme Leader Khamenei, the U.S. launched related attacks. This also means that it is difficult for Iran to fully trust the U.S. in the short term. Therefore, resuming dialogue in the short term is very challenging, but it does not imply that the mechanisms for peace have been completely lost. On one hand, countries like Qatar, Oman, and Pakistan are still engaging in continuous mediation, hoping to re-encourage and help establish communication channels between the U.S. and Iran.
