Odaily reported that the United States has launched a new round of airstrikes against Iran and revoked a waiver that allowed Iran to sell oil globally. The U.S. Central Command stated that the strikes are intended to impose costs on attacks and harassment targeting merchant vessels carrying civilians in international waters, adding that Iran's related actions are unjustified, dangerous, and a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement. The U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control announced on July 7 local time that the U.S. has revoked a general license authorizing Iran’s oil sales, with related wind-down transactions permitted until midnight Eastern Daylight Time on July 17.
