South Korea's KOSPI closed nearly 6% lower, with Japanese and South Korean stocks collectively declining on Friday.

According to Odaily, the Japanese and South Korean stock markets closed lower on Friday. The Nikkei 225 index fell 3005.46 points, or 4.15%, to 69360.88 points. The KOSPI index dropped 519.1 points, or 5.81%, to 8411.2 points, having briefly fallen nearly 9% during the session; SK Hynix closed down over 8%, while Samsung Electronics fell more than 5%.
