Odaily reported that the Korea Exchange triggered a temporary trading halt (Sidecar) mechanism for KOSPI after a 5% decline in KOSPI 200 futures, suspending program trading for 5 minutes.
South Korea's KOSPI index slumped 5% intraday, now at 8,477.78 points. SK Hynix fell over 6%, and Samsung Electronics dropped 5.7%. (Jinshi)
