An official statement reads: "Ubisoft is deeply saddened to learn of the accidental death of Claude Guillemot, co-founder of the Group and Chairman of Guillemot Corp. In this difficult time, our thoughts are with his family and loved ones. No further statement will be made at this time."
According to reports, Claude Guillemot, 69, died on Friday in a plane crash in La Baule, a resort town on France's Atlantic coast. An air show was scheduled to take place there this weekend.
