英媒:伊朗或向霍尔木兹海峡通行船只收“保险费”
Odaily reported on Wednesday that British media has uncovered a document from Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority, stating that all vessels must hold insurance approved by the agency to transit the Strait of Hormuz. The insurance is free during the period specified in the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran, but fees may be charged subsequently. According to the UK's Financial Times, this document has been circulated among shipping industry executives. The document states, "All vessels must hold a valid insurance policy approved by the Persian Gulf Strait Authority." For the time being, this insurance is "free of charge," but the Authority "reserves the right to exercise the collection of premiums in the future." (Xinhua News Agency)
