U.S. government ban appears ineffective; early users of Anthropic's Mythos still retain access

Odaily Odaily reports that a select group of early enterprises chosen by Anthropic can still continue to access the preview version of its AI model "Mythos," despite a previous U.S. government ban demanding a full shutdown. According to sources familiar with the matter, multiple institutions, including banks and technology companies, are using Mythos Preview through a testing program called "Project Glasswing." The project, consisting of about 200 approved organizations, is primarily used for cybersecurity vulnerability detection and research leveraging AI systems. Security firm Dragos stated it still has access to the system, and Cisco has also confirmed it retains continued access. (Bloomberg)
