Bloomberg Analyst: Hong Kong's 2x SK Hynix ETF Reaches $13 Billion, Becomes One of Asia's Fastest-Growing ETFs

Odaily Planet Daily reported that Eric Balchunas, Senior ETF Analyst at Bloomberg, posted on platform X that the 2x leveraged SK Hynix ETF in the Hong Kong market has reached an asset size of approximately $13 billion, ranking second among the roughly 250 ETFs in the region and accounting for about 13% of the total ETF asset scale. This product is also considered the fastest-growing ETF in Asian history and holds the fourth fastest growth record globally, highlighting the significant appeal of semiconductor-related leveraged products in capital allocation.

Analysis suggests that the rapid expansion of this ETF reflects a highly concentrated market bet on an AI-driven semiconductor cycle, as well as the continued popularity of leveraged instruments in regional capital markets.
