Block launches AI tool Builderbot: Capable of completing approximately 15% of production code changes

The tool is already capable of handling approximately 15% of production environment code changes, executing over 200,000 operations daily and merging roughly 1,500 pull requests per week. According to reports, Builderbot acts as an orchestration layer, coordinating the operation of multiple AI agents across the company's entire codebase, no longer confined to a single code repository. This enables engineers to make modifications across systems. This development has also reignited attention on Block's approximately 40% workforce reduction in February of this year.
