Trump: US Helped Intel in Exchange for 10% Stake, Currently Worth Over $60 Billion

Odaily news, U.S. President Trump stated in a post that the U.S. needs to bring the semiconductor industry back home, so it decided to help Intel in exchange for a 10% stake in the company. Trump said the U.S. pushed Nvidia, Elon Musk's TerraFab, and Apple to collaborate with Intel to design and manufacture chips in the United States. He noted that when the U.S. proposed the relevant plan, Intel's valuation was approximately $100 billion, but it has now surpassed $600 billion, making the U.S. government's stake worth over $60 billion.
