TSMC rises nearly 2% pre-market, Apple A22 Pro may adopt its 1.4nm process

Odaily reported that AI chip manufacturer TSMC rose 1.7% pre-market to $433.1. Sources indicate that Apple's next-generation flagship chip, the A22 Pro, may adopt TSMC's 1.4nm process, expected to launch in 2028. This would be Apple's first system-on-chip using this process, likely debuting in the 2028 high-end iPhone. According to data previously disclosed by TSMC, compared to the 2nm process, the 1.4nm process can improve performance by approximately 15%-16% under the same power consumption, and reduce power consumption by about 27%-30% under the same performance.
