Analyst: Anthropic Has a Clear Advantage Over OpenAI in the Enterprise Market

Odaily Odaily reports that Enrico Chinello, an analyst at Julius Baer, stated that the momentum of AI adoption in the US indicates that Anthropic has surpassed OpenAI, and OpenAI is considering lowering prices to respond to this trend, drive usage, and regain market share.

The key difference lies in the customer base. Approximately 85% of Anthropic's revenue comes from enterprises, while the majority of OpenAI's turnover comes from ChatGPT consumer subscriptions, with the vast majority of users using the free version. Anthropic's advantage among enterprise users provides it with a clearer path to profitability, while OpenAI's profitability remains in question.
