U.S. Retired General: Trump's Public Statements May Reveal Negotiating Hand, Ceding Leverage to Iran
Odaily Planet Daily News U.S. retired General Mark Kimmitt stated that he believes President Trump's public statements may have inadvertently shifted leverage to Tehran's side. Kimmitt noted that Trump has shown impatience with negotiations, claiming, "he announces every two or three days, saying we will reach a deal within two or three days." Kimmitt said these statements by President Trump "signal to the Iranians that he lacks that patience, and the Iranians are now exploiting that." He added that Tehran is "provoking him, perhaps not on the battlefield, but undoubtedly at the diplomatic negotiating table."
