On June 1, Anthropic announced that it had confidentially submitted a U.S. IPO application, moving ahead of competitor OpenAI in the listing process. In a statement, Anthropic said filing the prospectus "gives us the right to choose to go public after the SEC completes its review" and emphasized that "the proposed initial public offering will depend on market conditions and other factors."

According to media reports, Anthropic's listing could be as early as this fall, but it has not disclosed the offering size or terms.
