U.S. Media: Codex Surpasses 4 Million Weekly Active Users, Knowledge Workers Account for About One-Fifth

Odaily reported that according to AXIOS, citing a new report from OpenAI, knowledge workers currently account for about one-fifth of OpenAI Codex users, and their growth rate is more than three times that of developers. According to the company, Codex now has over 4 million weekly active users, a figure that has more than quintupled since OpenAI launched the desktop application in February. Among knowledge workers, the fastest-growing task type is data analysis, increasing by 110% week-over-week; research work has grown by 37%; and knowledge asset-related tasks have increased by 36%. Currently, over 60% of users engage in more than one Codex task at some point during the day, a significant increase from less than half in mid-April.
