Odaily reported that the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced on the 29th that, as part of "Operation Economic Fury," individuals and entities from multiple countries linked to Iran have been added to a new sanctions list to continue applying economic pressure on Iran. The Treasury stated that the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in coordination with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office, took action against a procurement network based in Iran that allegedly used "fake identities and defrauded U.S. companies" to procure goods for U.S.-sanctioned users, including Iran's Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces. On the same day, according to Iranian sources, the sanctions announced by the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control target eight individuals and five entities.
