Two giants pause, Japanese food brand DayDayCook unexpectedly becomes this week's largest BTC buyer
Odaily Odaily News According to SoSoValue data, as of 8:00 AM Eastern Time on May 25, 2026, the total net purchases of Bitcoin by global listed companies (excluding mining companies) last week were $17.38 million, a decrease of 99.14% from the previous week.
Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) did not purchase Bitcoin last week.
Japanese listed company Metaplanet did not purchase Bitcoin last week.
In addition, two other companies purchased Bitcoin last week. Japanese food brand DayDayCook announced on May 21 that it spent $15.8992 million to purchase 200 Bitcoins at $79,496 each, bringing its total holdings to 2,583 BTC; UK Bitcoin company The Smarter Web Company announced on May 21 that it invested $1.48 million to purchase 19 Bitcoins at $77,687 each, bringing its total holdings to 2,859 BTC.
As of press time, global listed companies (excluding mining companies) in the statistics collectively hold a total of 1,114,060 Bitcoins, an increase of 0.02% from the previous week, with a current market value of approximately $86.03 billion, accounting for 5.6% of Bitcoin's circulating market cap.
