Iranian Foreign Ministry: US Violated Ceasefire Agreement

Odaily reported that on Tuesday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that the United States launched an attack in Iran's southern Hormozgan province, violating the ceasefire agreement. On Monday, the US military carried out strikes in southern Iran targeting vessels attempting to lay mines and missile launch positions; the US described these actions as defensive measures.

Earlier Tuesday, Iranian media reported that explosions were heard in the port city of Bandar Abbas in the province. The Iranian Foreign Ministry statement pointed out: "In the past 48 hours, the United States has seriously violated the ceasefire agreement in the Hormozgan region... Iran demands that the US authorities bear full responsibility for all consequences arising from such aggressive and unjustified acts." (Jin Shi)
