Bank of Canada: Stablecoin Regulatory Framework Expected by Mid-to-Late 2027

Odaily Odaily Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, Carolyn Rogers, testified before the Canadian Senate that regulations for stablecoins within Canada are currently being designed. While previously planned for an early 2027 launch, the regulations are now expected to be released in the middle or later part of 2027.
