Nasdaq Plans to Accelerate Process for Including Large New Listings in Index

2026-03-30 12:07

Odaily News Nasdaq will introduce a series of new rules, including accelerating the process for including newly listed large companies in the Nasdaq 100 Index. This move aims to reduce the waiting time for companies to enter this flagship stock index. As high-valuation tech companies like SpaceX and OpenAI prepare to go public, exchange operators are trying to speed up the IPO process. Lilia, Head of Nasdaq Global Index Solutions, stated that Nasdaq is considering adjusting rules to ensure that newly listed large companies and those switching exchanges can be included in the Nasdaq 100 Index without having to wait for up to a year or even longer. Nasdaq said that the new rules, including the "fast inclusion" mechanism, will take effect on May 1, but most adjustments are not expected to impact index constituents until June. (Jin10)
