Gnosis and Zisk Launch Ethereum Economic Zone Rollup Framework, Receives Ethereum Foundation Grant

Odaily News Gnosis co-founder Friederike Ernst and Zisk founder Jordi Baylina announced the launch of the "Ethereum Economic Zone" (EEZ) Rollup framework at the EthCC conference, which has received funding from the Ethereum Foundation. This framework aims to enhance composability between Rollups, allowing their smart contracts to interact synchronously with the Ethereum mainnet and other EEZ networks while maintaining security consistent with the mainnet.

EEZ uses ETH as the default Gas token by default, eliminating the need for additional cross-chain bridge infrastructure. Initial project members include Aave, Titan, Beaver Build, Centrifuge, and xStocks, among others. The project plans to operate as a Swiss non-profit organization, with the relevant software to be released as open source. Technical details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
