Zhou Hongyi: Token Will Never Be Used Like Unlimited Mobile Data Plans
Odaily News At the Global Unicorn Enterprise Conference, Zhou Hongyi, founder of 360, shared his insights on the recent trending "Lobster Craze" (OpenClaw intelligent agent). Addressing the question of when Tokens can become more inclusive and accessible to the general public, similar to mobile data plans, Zhou Hongyi stated: The core of the traditional internet is traffic, where the capacity of its infrastructure (such as optical fiber) is nearly unlimited. User data usage is only proportional to duration and volume. The more users a platform has, the lower the marginal cost becomes. However, AI is fundamentally different.
The operation of AI is essentially about computing power consumption, information processing, and "intelligence cost," following the logic of information volume and energy conservation: the more complex the task and the deeper the demand, the higher the consumption of computing power and resources inevitably becomes. It is impossible to complete extremely complex work with minimal investment. Token is the unit of measurement for the intelligence and computing power consumed by artificial intelligence. Its unit price is relatively fixed; the more it is used, the higher the cost. Therefore, Token will never achieve unlimited monthly usage like mobile data plans. (Jin10)
