Japan's Financial Services Agency Warns KuCoin and Other Companies for Offering Unregistered Derivatives Trading

Odaily News The Japan Financial Services Agency (FSA) has issued warning letters to KuCoin, NeonFX, theoption, and GTCFX, stating that they are providing over-the-counter derivatives trading services to Japanese residents via the internet without proper registration. The FSA indicated that the aforementioned companies received relevant notices in March, with KuCoin being listed as a platform providing services to Japanese users. Previously, Japanese regulators issued similar warnings to exchanges including KuCoin and Bybit in November 2024, and requested Apple and Google to suspend downloads of the KuCoin app in February 2025.
